Doppelganger

Description

In Doppelganger, you must defend the Magic Barrier, keeping monsters from advancing toward the base for a limited time. These aren't just ordinary monsters — they're the darkest, most powerful side of MU Online's own characters. So you'll be fighting a battle to the death against your own doppelganger...

Basic battle

  • A doppelganger with your character's appearance and a doppelganger that hasn't transformed yet both appear.
  • Monsters keep appearing, and their number grows over time.

Main battle

  • There are 3 main battles in total, each led by the monster Slaughterer alongside the doppelganger.
  • Hunting the Slaughterer rewards you with 3 treasure chests, and you get to pick one of them.
  • Be careful — sometimes monsters hide inside the chests instead of items.
  • The Slaughterer appears at random, and even if you manage to defeat it, you might not receive a treasure chest.

Middle battle

  • Ice Walker monsters appear in the same number as the characters who entered.
  • If you don't defeat the Ice Walkers within 1 minute, the monsters that spawn afterward become stronger.

Final battle

  • If other parties survive the 10 minutes of defending against monsters, there's an extra 3-minute battle between the surviving parties to decide the winner.
  • You must head to the center of the map and fight the other party (you can move into the enemy zone and attack them before the final duel starts).

Chest Drop

Each chest has its own reward tier, 1 through 6: the Final Chest guarantees Jewels and a Box of Kundun, with a bonus chance at some tiers; the Intermediate Chest only guarantees 1 Jewel and just a chance (never guaranteed) at a Box of Kundun.

Jewels Jewel of Chaos, Jewel of Bless, Jewel of Soul, Jewel of Creation, Jewel of Life

Reward Chests

Intermediate Reward Chest

  • If you defeat all 3 bosses, you'll receive a reward chest.
  • This chest can hold zen, items, or, if you're unlucky, monsters.

Final Reward Chest

  • If you complete the event, you'll be rewarded with a Final Reward Chest.
  • This chest can hold zen or items.

Minimap

  • Shows how many monsters have passed the barrier and the time remaining.
  • Location of the Ice Walkers.
  • When the distance between the starting point and the monsters' respawn point equals the whole length of the progress bar, the lower triangle marks your character's current position.
  • Blue triangle – Your position.
  • Black triangle – Your party members' positions.

A yellow bar marks the position of the monster currently at the front line. Its color shifts to yellow, orange, or red depending on how many monsters have gotten through.

How to get the Mirror of Dimensions?

To get the Mirror of Dimensions you need to collect 5 Sign of Dimensions.

  • The Sign of Dimensions drops from hunting monsters level 32 or higher.
  • Once you have 5 Sign of Dimensions, they'll automatically combine into the Mirror of Dimensions.

How to enter

To enter Doppelganger, you need the Mirror of Dimensions and a party of at least 2 players, and must go to the Loren Market to talk to the NPC Rugard. Another way in is through the command window: if you press M and select Event Square, you'll be teleported to the events map, where you can access MU's main events and, from there, enter the Event Square through the notification icon when the event is available.

The whole party can enter the event as long as just 1 character has the ticket (not everyone needs one). When the character holding the Mirror of Dimensions enters, the entire party is automatically moved into the event.
