Which gear should I upgrade first?

Favour the weapon, the main set, wings and accessories that directly affect your levelling speed and survival.

A sensible order:

1. The main weapon.
2. The set pieces you need to be equipped properly.
3. Wings.
4. Accessories.
5. Advanced upgrades like Harmony/Sockets.

There is no sense pouring a lot into a temporary item you are about to replace.
