🛡️ Comparative Guide to MU Online's 7 Classes

Every class in MU Online Season 6 has its own role, its own mechanics and its own power curve:

1. Dark Knight / Blade Master (BM)

  • Role: Tank / Melee DPS / PvP assassin.
  • Strengths: The highest HP in the game thanks to Greater Fortitude (Swell Life). The most destructive Combo damage in one-on-one PvP.
  • Weaknesses: Slow early levelling until Twisting Slash. Very dependent on a good set, wings and weapons.
  • Popular builds: PvP Combo build (moderate Strength, high Agility, high Energy to scale the combo and Swell Life, Vitality to survive) and PvE/Strength build (maximum Strength for area damage).

2. Dark Wizard / Grand Master (GM)

  • Role: Area damage mage / controller / magic defender.
  • Strengths: The best leveller in the game thanks to Evil Spirit and Ice Storm. Soul Barrier (Mana Shield) absorbs up to 30% of incoming damage (the server's real cap). Teleport to escape in PvP.
  • Weaknesses: Little base HP without Soul Barrier up.
  • Popular builds: Full Energy (maximum magic damage) and Agility / Defence (a nearly impenetrable Soul Barrier in PvP).

3. Fairy Elf / High Elf (HE)

  • Role: Ranged DPS archer, or support / buffer.
  • Strengths:
    • As a Buffer (Energy Elf): indispensable to any guild or party. Her auras (Greater Attack and Greater Defense) multiply her companions' damage and defence.
    • As an Agility Elf: very high attack speed, ranged attack with infinite arrows (Infinity Arrow) and a high Defense Rate.
  • Popular builds: Energy Buffer (full Energy) and Agility DPS (just enough Strength for bows, the rest in Agility).

4. Magic Gladiator / Duel Master (DM)

  • Role: Physical / magic hybrid, fast leveller.
  • Strengths: Needs no helm (a passive defensive bonus on the torso). Can use BK skills (Twisting Slash) and DW skills (Evil Spirit, Ice Storm, Gigantic Storm), combining both styles.
  • Weaknesses: No defensive buffs of its own, and no combo.
  • Popular builds: Energy MG (mass area farming) and Strength MG (Fire Slash + Power Slash).

5. Dark Lord / Lord Emperor (LE)

  • Role: Siege leader / ranged DPS / pet summoner.
  • Strengths: Gains 7 points per level from the start (instead of 5). Can ride the Dark Horse (absorbs 30% of damage and has the Earthquake area attack) and carry the Dark Raven (attacks at range on its own). Heavy damage with Fireburst and a Critical Damage buff.
  • Weaknesses: Cannot use ordinary shields while riding with a two-handed scepter, and needs the exclusive Command stat.
  • Popular builds: Command/Pets build and Strength/Fire build for PvP.

6. Summoner / Dimension Master (DM)

  • Role: Dark mage / debuffer / reflected damage.
  • Strengths: Devastating skills like Chain Lightning and Lightning Shock. A Reflect buff that returns damage to attackers, and debuffs that sharply cut an enemy's defence and attack (Weakness and Innovation). Sleep to hold rivals in place.
  • Popular builds: Full Energy + Curse (massive magic damage and debuffs at 100%).

7. Rage Fighter / Fist Master (FM)

  • Role: Close-quarters fighter / explosive physical DPS.
  • Strengths: Gains 7 points per level from the start (instead of 5). Uses neither gloves nor traditional weapons but claws (Sacred Glove and the like). A passive Ignore Defense and brutal hits with Dark Side, Chain Drive and Dragon Roar.
  • Popular builds: Vitality/Strength build (its damage scales directly with maximum HP).
